General Overview		To the outside world, Jesse presents the perfect image of success and prestige, but inside, he harbors great insecurity and loneliness. It can only be a matter of time before his two worlds come crashing together.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Jesse has developed finely tuned social skills and excels at academic work. At the same time, his insecurity hovers over him, threatening to constantly penetrate his 'shell' that he has spent years making.

Personal History		Jesse spent much of his childhood growing up in St. Thomas’ School for Boys. Orphaned at the age of eight, he had been sent to the boarding school by his only living relative, his mother’s sister, who did not care to raise the boy on her own. To cover up his insecurity, Jesse made himself the center of it all. He was the popular one who had his own posse to follow him around the grounds during recreation time. At times, he would even send himself presents at Christmas, just so that the others wouldn’t find out that he had no one in the outside world. When they would go home for holidays, he’d stay at school and spend his time doing chores around the grounds. Jesse put so much time and effort into his exterior shell that, by the time he turned eighteen, it all came naturally. Given that he had nothing to tie him down on Earth, he sought adventure amongst the stars. He applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted shortly after his eighteenth birthday. Though it was bittersweet to say goodbye to the life he had known, he focused his energy on his new life in Starfleet. Just like at the boarding school, Jesse continued to make himself the center of attention. He gathered a new posse and smooth-talked his instructors, trying to get as far ahead as possible. The groundskeeper, Boothby, saw through the boy’s pretentions and, after he caught Jesse asleep in one of his hedges, had a conversation with him. Jesse brushed off the old man’s words and continued on. Somewhere inside, however, the words had struck a chord. Before he could think about them further, he received his first deep space assignment aboard the USS Pandora as part of his studies for the Command track. Figuring he could always come back to these things later, he stuck with the security of his shell and packed his bags.
