| Physical Description | Thelin stands a little over six feet tall with shoulder length white hair and and cobalt colored eyes. For a doctor he tends to take pride in his physical appearance and as such has stayed in great shape. When he is not in uniform, Thelin often dresses down to traditional Andorian clothing which happens to be black and shades of gray for the most part. |

| Personal History | Thelin was born on Andoria prime to a very prominent and powerful military family on April 11, 2354. Thelin’s seed father Tolin ch'Raka, was a Force Commander in the Andorian Military and had been serving them for over twenty-five years. Thus Thelin was brought up in a very strict and moderated household where it was expected that he follow in the footsteps of his father. However Thelin has different ideas and from the age of eight would consistently go off exploring the mountains that covered the planet and bringing home sick animals often leaving his parents worried and his father more so upset. As Thelin grew older though and saw the disappointment in his father’s eyes he could not continue to bare it much longer and decided one summer when he was sixteen to go and spend the time with him in the military. That summer and for the next year Thelin learned all that it took to be an officer in the Andorian military just by shadowing his father’s steps. It was also during this time that he met a young female officer name Jaylas and began to try and court her. Little did he know that another male officer had already begun attempting to court Jaylas and thus resulted in the fellow male officer challenging Thelin to Ushaan. Thelin remained calm and focused through the match even after suffering a large cut to his left forearm and eventually was able to slice off both antennas from his challenger. Given the chance to take his life Thelin did not and instead left at the end of the week for home. Once home Thelin secluded himself into the solitude of his bedroom for over a week as he contemplated what it was that he really wanted to do with his life. He focused on his childhood and his dreams and every time he closed his eyes the memories of climbing the Andorian Ice Mountains and seeking out injured animals would become vivid pictures in his head again. A few days after the week had past Thelin went off to a local bar where he ran into a childhood friend; Skron ch'Brak. Skron had left a year earlier for Starfleet Academy on Earth and immediately the two began to talk. After Thelin told him all that had happened and how he just longed to be away from his father's grip and lead the life of an explorer like he did in the mountains Skron suggested he send in his application for Starfleet Academy. Thelin thanked him and after spending a few more hours drinking and catching up, he left for home. After spending the whole night contemplating the slap in the face a move like this might make to his father but also keeping in mind his father viewed him as a coward already for not killing his fellow Andorian Thelin decided it was time to live his own dreams. He sent in his application for Starfleet Academy and was accepted. The day he received his communiqué letting him know of his acceptance was a happy day for Thelin and he chose to tell his brother (an art major at the prestigious Andorian Art Institute) and his mother. Both were pleased that he was going to do something for himself and enjoy it, however his father was not. After a long argument that night Thelin packed his bags and the next day he left Andoria for Earth; his father swearing him off, disowning him, and threatening him that they would never speak again. Once Thelin reached Starfleet Academy in 2372 he had a new spring in his step and life seemed good again as he entered the medical training program. Over the next eight years he trained and studied learning not only the standard Starfleet Officers training but all of his medical training as well which earned him his PhD in general medicine. He graduated in the top fifteen percent in his class and was quickly given his first assignment. After medical school Thelin was assigned to the USS Yellowstone as a medical intern. A hard worker and dedicated individual, the young ensign made a name for himself on the medical team and was eventually moved to the beta shift as a medical officer. The once social Andorian quickly became more focused on his work and less on his social life. In fact during the Pacifica moon crisis of 2382 it was his new lack of regular social gatherings that allowed him to volunteer for an away mission helping to find a way to solve the crisis along with the Chief Medical Officer and ship's executive officer. The events on that mission led to his promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade and his transfer to Starbase 418 as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer as of 2383. On board the Starbase the Andorian once again fit in easily with the crew off duty and showed himself to be a dedicated and focused officer while on duty. During his first two years he mostly mingled with the other medical officers and a few others but at some point during the year 2384 he was invited to the Senior Officer's poker game night. A decent player, the young officer made an impression and was offered to come back ever Tuesday night to join them. ch’Rassa did just that and over time developed close friendships with the ships executive officer and chief engineering officer. Both felt the young Andorian had great leadership potential and started to act as mentors to Thelin. In the year 2386 when the Chief Medical Officer was in attendance for a medical conference Thelin was given a chance to show his leadership skills when the Station faced an outbreak of a modified Oroborus Virus released a group of Kzinti terrorists. He was able to help devise a cure which saved the lives of over a thousand officers and civilians. Thelin was awarded the Federation’s highest medical honor over the incident and offered the Chief Medical Officer Position on board the USS Pandora as well as a promotion to Lieutenant which he gladly accepted. |
