[USS Orlando Marine Barracks]

ON:

Greg sighed lightly as he sat aside the PADD he was reading and looked around at the new Marine barracks. A slight increase in the Marine complement over the older Orlando, but still not enough in his mind.

"Austerlitz," Katrina asked glancing at the title of the book he had been reading, "Is that from Earth?"

"Yeah, Battle of Austerlitz or Battle of the Three Emperors, was in the early 19th Century, some call it Napoleon's greatest victory," Greg said as he watched a squad head out for the holo deck. "Did our Engineer fix the holodecks or do I have to worry about additional casualties from training?"

"He says it's fixed and I went over it myself, it looks good," Katrina said with a nod of her head, "So what's the plan, for training, skipper?"

Greg glanced over at the joined Trill and smiled, "Ten of us in heavily defensible postion the other thirty five are to take the position, with a rotation of the squad tasked with the defense. See what Marine command gave us to work with. We're up first in the defenses, us and the other old hands we keep."

Katrina grinned back, "Sounds like fun, I take it you don't want us to go easy on the newbies," she asked as she turned and took two phaser rifles from Micheal.

"Oh, why would I want to go easy on the newbies I want them buried, knock all that book learning out of their heads so we can start putting in the practical information in," Greg glanced down at the rifle and double checked that the weapon was still set to stun. "We don't know what our next orders are going to be, so I want us to be ready for anything."

"We'll be ready skipper, got a handful of veterans among the rookies they'll be ready when called upon," Katrina said with a nod of her head.

"Alright let's move out, we'll have thirty minutes to get ourselves into the best defense position possible, before the rest of the unit hits us," Greg said speaking to his headquarters unit. "I want those rookies out their to wonder what the hell hit them. So let's move out, and get ready for a turkey shoot."
