Mission Wrap-Up
Posted on Wed Jul 21st, 2010 @ 4:19pm by Vice Admiral Iluvar
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As many of you have undoubtedly already seen, we are rapidly nearing the end of our current mission, "A House Divided". I can see that many of you have put a lot of time and effort into posting and character development for this mission. Not only does that show what great individuals we are, but it also shows that we are continuing to build a great community of simmers here aboard the USS Pandora.
You've no doubt noticed that several of us, including myself, have been rather limited in our activity this summer. I know that some of you were on trips for business or vacation where internet was a limited (if even existent) commodity. Some of us have been busy with work or other real life commitments and I, myself, have been employed for the summer in a place where internet is a fleeting thing (here one day, gone the next). Congratulations to you all for sticking with it and realizing that we can still be a close knit community, even if our activity ebbs and flows from time to time.
I'd like to see us bring our current mission to a close soon. For those of you who have just started or are working on mission-related posts, do not be alarmed. You still have a little bit of time. Between now and the end of the mission, there will be three major posts that will set the pace for our wrap-up.
Post 1 - "Trouble on the Horizon" -- In this post, the officers on watch are continuing to search for the source of the neutrino emissions. Suddenly, the Imperial Romulan Warbird Seras decloaks in orbit of Nerus V, weapons armed. Iluvar and the others will do their best to diffuse an increasingly tense situation while still trying to find the missing pieces to the puzzle. In the end, we will be asked to return the colonists to the planet and follow the Seras back to Federation space.
Post 2 - "Back to the Border" -- This post is merely a chance for the bridge crew to reflect on the mission as we are escorted back to Federation space by the Seras. We will postulate our unanswered questions and wonder if there was something more that could have been done.
Post 3 - "Evening Rendezvous" -- The Pandora will be rendezvousing with the USS Intrepid once we have returned to Federation space. There will no doubt be pleasantries and information exchanged, thus bringing an end to our mission in Romulan space.
If anyone has any questions about the conclusion to our mission, please send me an email or a private message and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Updates regarding our next mission will be coming soon, but I already have a good feeling that you will all enjoy what is in store for the USS Pandora and her crew.
Respectfully,
--
Captain Iluvar
Commanding Officer
USS Pandora, Horizon Fleet
