First Joint-Mission Begins!

Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is my pleasure to announce the official beginning of the Pandora's first joint mission, "Resistance". While on routine assignment near the outskirts of Federation space, the crew of the USS Pandora detect the last thing any of them expect to see…a Borg transponder signal. Starfleet Command orders Captain Iluvar and his crew, with the assistance of Vice Admiral Quinn Androski and the crew of the USS Orlando, to investigate immediately and to assess any possible threat that may be present.
The USS Orlando (NCC-10722-A) is a Legacy-class vessel commanded by Vice Admiral Quinn Androski and currently serves as the Task Force Flagship for Horizon Fleet's Task Force 42. As one of the first new Legacy-class starships, the Orlando is considered to be one of the finest achievements in Federation starship engineering. Continued advances in warp-field generation and other design elements from the ongoing analysis of the USS Voyager's sojourn in the Delta Quadrant were also incorporated into the construction of the first Legacy-class vessels, including the Orlando.

Mission Day 01 of "Resistance" occurs on 23 May 2387, which is about five months after the conclusion of our shoreleave during "Unanswered Questions." Please be sure to take this into account for character development. If you have any questions, please contact Captain Iluvar or review his initial personal log for this mission.
It is important to note that during this five month skip in our actual playing time, the Hobus star within Romulan space has gone supernova and caused severe ecological disaster upon impact with the Romulan home system.
