The Pandora's New Commanding Officer Welcomes You

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a privilege and an honor to welcome you aboard the Luna-class USS Pandora, flagship of Horizon Fleet's Task Force 22. My name is Rear Admiral Iluvar and I have just been named the Pandora's new commanding officer.

To be honest, I was a little surprised when I received my transfer orders from Admiral Meyer (NPC). The USS Tethys was my first command and I will certainly miss her, as will most of those who served aboard her under my command. However, the USS Pandora is not without her own merit. Designed to be one of Starfleet's most advanced deep space exploration vessels, she is just what we need out here on the frontier of the Federation and I am proud to be serving aboard her.

At this time, I would like to announce the transfer of a number of Tethys personnel to the Pandora, effective immediately. It has been a privilege to serve with them in the past two years and I look forward to many more years of continued service as we embark on new assignments and explore new opportunities together. I would also like to take this time to thank Commander Ka'el Fermat (NPC), the lead engineer who oversaw the overhaul of the Pandora and will be taking charge of the Tethys' refit as his next project.

Welcome aboard. Take a moment to look around, settle in, and get a feeling for our new home. It won't be long before we receive our first assignment and you don't want to miss this boat.
