Mission:
Episode 2.2 - "Resistance"
Location: Pandora - Bridge
Timeline: MD-03, 1748 hours
ON: [[Main Bridge, USS Pandora, Mission Day 03, 1824 hours]]
Miranda entered the busy bridge area. Seeing the Commanding Officer sitting in the center seat, and catching the Orlando turning away to continue it's mission. She looked around abit, taking in the view of the bridge and crew working.
She advanced into the view of the Captain, once seeing his rank pips. She waited to be recognized by him. In the meantime checking out the rest of the on duty command team. It was obvious she was nervous as her tail weaved curves behind her, ears swiveled in taking in each sounds of the computers and murmered conversations between the crew. This was going to be her new crewmates and wondered how they would be like. At least she was putting her best foot forward as took the time make sure she was in her proper uniform, looking her best.
The approaching Catian immediately drew Iluvar's attention and he turned slowly in his chair so that he was facing her directly. He admittedly did not recognize her and assumed she must have been part of the cargo and personnel recently transported aboard from the Orlando at their rendezvous. "Is there something I can help you with, lieutenant," Iluvar asked, aware that there were others on the bridge who had paused to see who the strange arrival might be.
"Lieutenant Blackfur, Captain. Flight Control Officer," She extended the PaDD that contained her orders towards the Captain, "Transferred in from Fleet HQ," She gave him a felinish smug smile as her hair broke free from it tight bun at the nape of her neck to cascade down her back in an explosion of hair. "I never expected to ride cargo before." Her carefree manner shining forth at the hair falling out of her regulation hair style.
Iluvar quirked an eyebrow at the Catian's rather bold demeanor. The fact the young woman was confident in her own skills could potentially prove quite valuable, so long as it did not wander into over-confidence. "Cargo transport isn't usually our preferred method of personnel transfers either, Miss Blackfur," he said slowly, skimming over the contents of the PADD, "but we are happy to have you aboard nonetheless."
Miranda purred softly, "Do you need me now at the helm or am I free to get settled in to explore and familiarize myself with the layout of this ship, Sir?" giving the helm position a quick look, seeing it being manned already then looking back at the Captain. eyes still sparkled merrily with a softer more content look of delight.
Having kept his focus mostly on his own display, Robert (NPC) caught himself glancing slightly over his shoulder toward where the new arrival was speaking with the captain at the center of the bridge. He had overheard enough of their conversation to know that the Caitain was to be the Pandora's new Chief Flight Control Officer. It had been the question of whether or not she should assume responsibility for the remainder of the shift, however, that truly caught his attention.
Iluvar also noticed how the lieutenant's question had peaked Ensign Johnson's interest. The younger man had been doing quite well overseeing the flight control department in absence of a designated Chief Flight Control Officer and Iluvar felt it might be a bit presumptuous were Johnson to be relieved so soon after the arrival of a new department head. "I believe it would be best if I were to give you some time, lieutenant," Iluvar said, turning his attention back to Blackfur, "It would give you the chance to settle in and familiarize yourself with the department."
"Merrroooo? Department?" Softly, eyes widening abit at that, then returned to normal, "Me-yew! I wait till the CFO is off duty and report to him!" Smile widens showing abit of her white teeth and soft audible purrrr, ears perked up, tips sticking through her unrully hair. Getting ready to turn as her tail gives a gentle sweeping swish back and forth behind her. "Is there anything else, sir?"
"I believe that will be all, lieutenant," Iluvar said with a small smile, "Welcome aboard the Pandora."
Miranda smiled warmily, "yes sirra!" scampered off the bridge with a definite bounce in her step to explore her new assignment.
