Mission:
Episode 2.2 - "Resistance"
Location: Blackfur Den (quarters)
She looked at the controls of her carry-all that contained the transporter buffer that stored her stuff and smiled and hit the red button.
A flash of light lit the room up and a momentary beam of light shot out from her viewport into space. Once she regained her sight, her stuff had rematerialized and scattered all over the place. Her big multi-shades of blue and black, lounging floor pillows all over the place. Draping off the already present furniture.
~That was interesting~ sitting on the floor with one of the lounge pillows on her lap and covering the carry-all. ~~good thing I just specifitied just the Lounging Pillows and assorted pillows. I'd been in a world of hurt if it had been my other stuff!~ with a smile and twinkle in her eyes as her tail behind her weaved slow curves behind her.
Shoving the Lounge pillow off to the side, uncovering the carry-all transporter buffer. She began the next series of stuff to be unloaded.
Coming to the curtain with their hangers, took them and placed them over the view ports. And then adjusted them open like it was hanging in a building, but were hanging at a 35% angle.
Next came her knick knacks and books and PaDDs, that were from Cait and SF Academy, that was placed on the shelfs about the room. Then over in a vacant corner came her shrine. It was a three teired and nice. On the bottom shelf was three different types of pyrmindical shaped, multi-hued rocks of the same size to represent the foundation which all things rested upon. Middle shelf held a Longsword with scabbard, short sword with scabbard, dagger with scabbard. Katana, wakazi and dagger. To the defence of hearth and home. Top shelf held incence burner with incence to represent the air and spirit world. And hung above that was a dreamcatcher.
Miranda threw her prayer cushioned shag carpeted rug before the Den's Shrine. The beautiful soft feline paw mark pointing towards the shrine. She smiled reverntly at her handywork and stood up. She nodded as she spun, looking over her handiwork.
She purrrrs softly, turning back to the carry-all and tapping in more commands. Her lounging robes appeared of the finest silks and in shades of warm deep yellows. She picked up the neatly folded robes and carried them over to the shrine and laid them behind the three stones.
As she kneels on the prayer rug, she bows till her forehead rests on the rug, "May the Caitian Dieties bless this new den and the community ship I am part of. And the different species that are part of this community and ship."
She smiles softly with contentment as she straightens up. Sitting back on her heels, letting the moment to settle in and getting used to the harmonics and vibration of the Pandora. Hearing it sing through soft sound and feeling within her. Calling to her...
Miranda blinked and stood up as she completed an age old ritual of settling in her new home and assignment. She was content and pleased. It really didn't matter who commanded as she knew she had a job to do. Standing up and moving through the mess of lounge pillows to her bedroom, snagging the carry-all to take with her.
Entering the sparten room, looking over the furnishing provided by the fleet and regulation very neatly made bed. She shook her head, muttering, "this whont do at all!" Setting the carry-all down on the floor next to the bed and then proceeded to rip the blankets and sheets from the bed, sending the pillow tumbling to the floor, to be kicked under the bed and forgotten. She tossed the bundle of sheets and blanket onto the floor in the corner to put up later.
After kneeling next to the carry-all, she looked at what was left stored in it. Looking thoughtful, she decided on what she could do without and used the matter stored in the transporter buffer for the new sheets and blanket for the bed.
In traditional Clan colors of the Blackfur's, Miranda produced a thick soft comfortor quilted blanket, large enough to drape down to the floor on all three sides of the bed, (left, right and foot). She the picked it up, letting it unfold and grabbing the long side and whipped it up and out and let settle on the bed. She admired her handywork and then straightened the blanket out. Eyeing the issued blankets and sheets, smiled and folded them up and recycled them into the transporter buffer of her carry-all. She then made sheets for the bed and then remade the bed.
She looked at the remaining list of stuff and extracted them from the carry-all and stored her uniforms and various articles of clothing. Laying out silver framed pictures of her parents and various noteable Caitians and People that had made an impact in her life so far. She placed them about her quarters, making the place looked like someone lived there, instead of occupying a space in transit.
