Ladies and Gentlemen,
Despite our recent dip in activity levels and the unfortunate removal of several inactive members this month, I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to those of you who have really made an effort to be active participants in our simming community. The Pandora has once again demonstrated her ability to persevere in the face of difficult times. In hopes of restoring the tradition of monthly awards, it is my pleasure to recognize the following recipients for their achievements over the past month. So without further ado, the recipients of the Summer 2011 awards are...
Simm Contribution Award: Lieutenant Thelin ch'Rassa, MD.
"Lieutenant Thelin ch'Rassa, MD certainly brings a positive attitude to his involvement aboard the USS Pandora as evidenced by his active participation in joint mission posting since arriving on board earlier this summer. He is observant of the situations and individuals around him during joint mission posts and does his best to convey his character's perspective in his writing. Lieutenant ch'Rassa has certainly put his best foot forward as a newcomer to the USS Pandora." -- Vice Admiral Iluvar, Commanding Officer, USS Pandora
XO's Merit Award: Ensign Matthew Lessly
"For continually contributing an added depth of personality and dimension to the Pandora through his character's unique insights and relationships, this award is granted with gratitude." -- Commander Michael Evans, Executive Officer, USS Pandora
Captain's Merit Award: Commander Michael Evans, MD.
"Commander Michael Evans, MD has been both an active and valued member of the USS Pandora since the day he first set foot aboard this vessel. Not only has he made an effort to connect with his fellow simmers through joint mission posts and character development, he has put the betterment of the simulation ahead of himself time and time again. His efforts have earned him the respect of his fellow simmers and a recent appointment to the position of Executive Officer with a promotion to the rank of Commander. I look forward to seeing what he will continue to bring to the table, both in and out-of-character, in the future." -- Vice Admiral Iluvar, Commanding Officer, USS Pandora
