Commanding Officer Returns from Annual Semi-LOA
Posted on Sun Aug 14th, 2011 @ 1:28pm by Vice Admiral Iluvar
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to begin by apologizing for the rather diminished activity of the USS Pandora over the past few weeks. As some of you might be aware, I work a seasonal job during the summer months every year that does not allow me regular access to the internet. It is expected this would typically have a moderate effect upon my ability to maintain the daily level of activity I hold myself to during the off season. In the past, I have declared myself to be on semi-Leave of Absence for the duration of the summer season and done my best to continue my presence within the simming community as best as possible during that time. It has been particularly difficult this summer for some reason and I apologize for the effect my diminished presence has had upon the simulation as a whole.
The good news is that I have officially returned from my semi-Leave of Absence as of this moment with the intention of restoring the activity level of the USS Pandora. I must admit to relying heavily upon the members of this simulation to help keep things moving along this summer, especially Commander Michael Evans and Lieutenant Commander Joseph Thompson. Thank you also to Lieutenant Thelin ch'Rassa M.D. for his active participation in the simulation since his arrival.
We are currently engaged in a joint mission with the USS Orlando-A which is focused on our discovery of a Borg transponder signal. While the crew of the USS Orlando complete their analysis of the debris in hopes of determining the vessel's configuration and source of destruction, we have been working to sort out our own analysis of the Borg corpses brought aboard for autopsy. I would very much like to see some cooperation between our two crews as we prepare for the possibility of facing the Borg.
Once we have completed this mission to the satisfaction of both Vice Admiral Quinn Androski and myself, we will take some time to deal with the aftermath of the incident and the events surrounding Iluvar's restoration to the position of Task Force Commanding Officer. I also will be working with Vice Admiral Kailani Livian and Rear Admiral Bret Corbett to develop advertising material which will hopefully help us to recruit new players for the USS Pandora in the wake of our recent roll call. It is my hope that our vision of the future will help us to draw new faces and fresh ideas into our community.
Respectfully,
Vice Admiral Iluvar
Commanding Officer, USS Pandora
