Zekk was happy to see that they made it out of drydock without blowing up. He didn't really think that they would explode, although it would have been one heck of a show if they did. Looking around engineering he could see that everyone was in their place, doing exactly as they had been trained to do. That also gave Zekk a sense of pride, most of his staff were young and inexperienced. Hopefully, they could learn something from him and he could learn something from them.

"Engine efficiency reports," Jack (NPC) said, handing Zekk a PADD.

Zekk took the PADD and looked it over, letting out a whistle as he read over the figures. "Wow, are you sure that this is right? According to this our engines are operating at 110% efficiency."

"Checked and rechecked," Jack smiled. "I think its the battery system sir, since there isn't an excess flow running to the engines, they are actually working a lot better then we originally thought."

"What do you know," Zekk smiled. "Apparently we are THAT good."

"You are that good sir," Jack shrugged. "We just followed in your footsteps."

"I wouldn't say that," Zekk responded. "After all the battery idea was Alistair's...speaking of which where is he? He didn't get stuck in the plasma injectors again, did he?"

Both Zekk and Jack smiled at that thought, although it had already happened once. Hence the reason that Zekk was asking about it; it had taken them a better part of an hour to get him out and that was with the help of the yard birds. It wasn't until later the he admitted to Zekk that he had take a date up there and when she discovered that he had taken her friend out the week before...well Zekk knew what had happened.

"I'm up here," Alistair (PNPC) waved, from the upper command area. He walked to the ladder and slide down, landing and turning around to flash a smile at both Zekk and Jack. "Batteries are holding up well, I think that we could tweak them a bit more though."

"Not while we are at warp, we managed to avoid going BANG so far, I'd like to keep it that way," Zekk said.

"I always imagined it as more of a BOOM," Jack shrugged. "Regardless, I think its about time we checked into the starboard power coupling that was acting up earlier."

"Good idea, take tall, blond, and handsome with you," Zekk responded, motioning toward Alistair. "And make sure he doesn't get stuck in anything."
