R'Sera had been at work in the lab for a couple hours. The new ship's facilities were significantly updated from her old Excelsior class home. In particular, the genetic analysis hardware was vastly improved. This was a small heaven for the caitian as it was her most favored branches of medicine.

The admiral's son was the subject of today's project. As the console indicated it's process, she scrolled a padd in thought. Shress walked into the lab quietly and stood beside the much shorter doctor.

"How's it coming, Doctor?"

R'Sera turned in her chair, setting the padd down on the counter. "I am not sure." She replied with a sigh. "I have not seen this condition before in my practice."

The andorian nodded, then sat down on the chair next to the doctor. "What has the database found?"

"Not much yet. I am running a couple simulations now. This ship is so much better for that. It almost feels like a starbase lab."

"This ship just about is a starbase when it comes to power. At least we don't have as much to worry about for attack."

"I would rather not think about that right now, my Dear." R'Sera glanced over at her nurse. "That was a very sad event that I would rather not relive."

"I am sorry, Doctor. That was not my intent."

"I realize that." R'Sera smiled slightly and read her padd. "Could you be so kind as to replicate me a drink?"

"Will do, Doc."
