A Bit of Light Reading

Mission:
Episode 2.2 - "Resistance"
Location: Aharonov's (CDO) Office, USS Orlando
Timeline: MD-03, 1625 hours
ON: [[Aharonov's Office, USS Orlando, MD-03, 1625 hours]]
Yehonathan retired to his office shortly after the announcement Vice Admiral Androski made as to the reason for their new course. Needless to say, the tension could be cut like a knife on the bridge. To escape, he made his way to his office to do research.
He was shocked to find that the diplomatic file for the Borg Collective was quite large. It contained copious amounts of information on the diplomatic efforts of the Federation and several other races. Of course all of these were to no avail but it was interesting reading.
It was not at all surprising to find that there hadn't been a single diplomatic mission that had succeeded. How the Borg approached each situation was interesting though. Even though every encounter had come with their trademark detachment, each time they had been more willing to talk. The talk usually amounted to how many different ways you could say 'resistance is futile' but it was still intriguing that they were more willing each time to expound upon their view of the universe, as one sided as it may be.
Yehonathan had been pouring over one particular file though because it was the most detailed. It contained graphical representation of each encounter and had bullet points for each significant change that the diplomats had encountered from the Borg.
He smiled to himself and transferred the data over to an available PADD. This would do for some nice 'light' reading this evening. That is after he'd tended to Akim's needs and his own needs, namely something for dinner. He felt like something spicey tonight.
He closed his terminal down for the evening and pushed away from the desk, standing and stretching. It has been a long and interesting day. He was beginning to wonder if things were always like this aboard the USS Orlando.
OFF:
Ensign Yehonathan Aharonov
Chief Diplomatic Officer
